About SHS
SHS, Some Hockey Sim, is primarily considered to be a tool to simulate several seasons of a professional hockey league with at least one level of minors. During the off-season, drafting and free agency takes place.
To facilitate multiplayer leagues, there is extensive import/export functionality through internal FTP, handling “orders” that are sent from the client software to a server, and then downloaded by a “commissioner” to his local machine.
At his disposal, the commissioner has a wide set of HTML-reports to upload to a server, which can then be accessed by everyone in the league.
SHS is not an NHL-simulator. Sure, as a user, you can set up a pro-league that emulates the NHL, but this is not the main purpose of SHS, though the structure of the main league in SHS does represent the stature that NHL has in today’s hockey world.
In short, one could either use SHS as a multiplayer tool, or one could play “god mode” and simulate season after season, manually move teams around, as well as players. An attempt at a minor Free Agent AI and Draft AI will be implemented as well to facitiliate this mode.
The above is step 1.
For step 2, there is the intention to implement trade AI and enhance the singleplayer experience. Non Human owned teams will get their own GMs in the form of an AI that will initiate and accept trades, promote/demote players etc.
A more intricate salary-system will be implemented in step 2.
In step 2, a world-view will be implemented, where statistics will be generated for external leagues, feeder leagues if you wish. This way, GMs can follow prospects and non-drafted players throughout the year. How detailed these statistics will be is not yet determined.
The releaseplan for both steps remains unknown.

So in “God Mode” is it possible to take control of just 1 team? What im interested in doing is creating a new league like the NHL with real or fictional players; take control of 1 team and also expand the league through the years. The more reports in the game the better for me. Im not big on “news” like EHM has but i would like to see alot of various reports and lists of records similar to ootp. Will these be in your game, to a certain extent?
